~It's about relationships.
Fiddlehead Coffee is roasted in Arlington, Washington and is owned and operated by Caroline Sumpter and Don Frazier, Jr.. We have a small roaster, and the entire process from roasting to bagging to market is done by me, Caroline. My husband Don, helps out when needed and is the Chief Engineer of "problem solving and machinery".
The need to have a really good coffee, every day, something that wasn't really possible in the rural community where we live, inspired Fiddlehead's fruition. Determined to never be out of fresh and delicious coffee, we began this journey.
Our coffee is roasted in small batches, to order, and brought to the customer within days of roasting. This insures the best flavor and aroma, and makes an exceptional cup of coffee.
Our "relationship" coffee beans are consciously purchased from small farms and cooperatives, practicing organic and sustainable farming methods. Relationship coffee insures fair market value for each pound of coffee, creating equality and sustainability in the lives of coffee farmers around the globe.
The origins of our coffee beans rotate depending on the season and taste. We believe in maintaining the ideal roast that we love so much. While the variety may change, the resulting cup of coffee is always consistent and delicious.
Relationships don't stop at the coffee importers. We uphold the same approach with our customers. We value you as an individual and your contribution to our business. We look forward to sharing our passion for coffee with you, discussing the nuances of how each of our coffees are created, and forging new relationships!
Sincerely,
Caroline Sumpter
